Sennheiser pc37x vs hd 599

Having tested Sennheiser HD vs Sennheiser HDfirst of all, I should point out the incredible sound and build quality of these professional headphones. Being over ear open back headphones they both represent a great choice for critical listening. As for the technical differences, the impedance is the greatest, that makes vs 50 Ohm in HD vs HD I like the clean treble of Sennheiser HD It is just slightly forward but not strident. Midrange is excellent and stellar. Bass sounds very harmonious with the other ranges.

When I listen to the sound of Sennheiser HD I should admit transparent clarity and brightness of highs and lows, however without exaggeration. They just go ahead the mids, that seem a bit recessed, but does not make the sound muddy. The strong bass has a great impact though the sound stage is not the best point as for the open type of headphones.

Both models are unfoldable. They are really comfy and airy for long listening though the hanging wire makes them not really comfy for active outdoor use, even being detachable. The adjustable headband will allow you to make them fit quite well.

Though, the HD headphones fit tighter than HD and may be uncomfortable for long wearing. The first model is just 10 g heavier than the other, vs g. Check price now. View at Amazon View at Amazon.Sennheiser headphones have long been characterized by an overall darker sound — with plenty of emphasis on the low end, while the mids and highs often vary from one model to the next.

So, poised between such sonic staples as the HD and HDdoes this headphone deserve your hard-earned cash? The HD comes in your standard Sennheiser box. Construction-wise, the headphones are mostly plastic, but they still feel as solid as a pair of s — these could probably take quite the beating.

That being said, the plastic construction does cut down on the weight, while also reducing the kind of clamp we often see on heavier headsets. A thick pleather headband and velour earpads carry the comfort one step further. Thelike the andfeatures an open-back design.

And be warned, the bleed is real, folks. As we can see from these specifications, the HD packs an impressive frequency range with ample highs and lows. The impedance, remaining relatively low, easily recommends this headphone to mobile listeners, though it may benefit from slight amplification. Sound pressure and harmonic distortion are about as to be expected for the price, and the sound should be both clean and of ample volume.

No surprise when it comes to Sennheiserthe low end on the HD is solid. Detail is decent, but the strength of the low end seems to overwhelm the mids in some tracks. Bass impact is clean and precise, with no noticeable bleed. The midrange is definitely decent, but borders on almost awesome at times. While most of the frequency range is accurate, there does seem to be a little bit of compression in the upper mids.

So rich in detail, the high end sometimes seems to verge on piercing — usually when dealing with strings, but never actually becoming piercing. While instruments seem to occupy definite space around me, the sound seems a bit too close — almost oppressive, but not quite. With a rich, dynamic sound that delivers the goods, the Sennheiser HD is an impressive bit of engineering.

Despite the slight compression in the upper mids and the just-okay soundstage, these headphones are still a no-brainer for any rock or hip hop fan. Should you fork out the bills for this one? A total swish and a fine addition to the Sennheiser lineup, the HD has easily replaced the older in my headphone lineup.

How much better is the sound quality on the HD s over the game ones for gaming, more specifically for directional and positional sound.Depth and layering also are good but not like its bigger brothers.

Bass goes reasonably deep, even to sub levels, and it is punchy at the same time. The mids are extremely musical, rich and engaging and they have good spaciousness, separation and depth. Mid bass is excellent as well. Treble is smooth and energetic at the same time.

Not only as a first headphone or entry in to audiophile sound, but I can see this headphone please a whole lot of experienced listeners as well.

The HD sounds faster and goes deeper and wider. The HD is warmer and smoother, more relaxed. Voices also are more forward and a bit more aggressive sounding.

Audio Technica vs. Sennheiser 2020: Who Is the Winner?

Its big brother the Fidelio X2 is a lot closer to the HD but it is more expensive. This is the one closes sounding to the HD The upper mids and treble are clearer and have less body, treble is a little livelier. On the desktop sized Erzetich Perfidus you get a very musical sound but bass body is too exaggerated for me. Straight out of my non-exploding Samsung S4 smartphone, the HD also performs brilliantly: good bass yet a little less tightgorgeous mids and energetic treble.

I could perfectly listen to the HD using the S4 as a source though. What a great headphone. It is harder to love and to drive but it technically is a better headphone. So your choice will depend on what you want to hear and what gear you already have at home.
